South Canterbury Cricket District Teams Representative Policy – Year 9 & 10
South Canterbury Cricket Assn due to an increase in the player numbers at most levels is now able to enter more inter-district festivals to give more players the opportunity of an experience playing at a higher level than club cricket.
Entries to these festivals are regularly decided well in advance of the season and as such the Association has this year upgraded our policy to attempt to ensure that players who wish to partake, stay committed to attending the various festivals.
This means we will now be asking for a registration of interest via the online form, a non-refundable $100 deposit (see attached Player Agreement document for more details) and the Player agreement signed by the Guardian(s) to be available for selection to attend one of the festivals.
The deposit will be deducted from the final costs of attending the festival.
If registration numbers required do not meet team numbers required to attend/enter a festival, then the deposit would be refunded.
South Canterbury has representative teams that will be attending the following two festivals in Christchurch from Tues 13th – Thursday 15th of December 2022.;
- Nichols Festival
- Latham Festival
- (Both these festivals run on the same days / week.)
We appreciate your support of this policy and hope that you can read the information, register your child, complete and sign the agreement and make the deposit by Saturday 12th November 2022. Failure to do so indicates that your child is not available for selection in any Year 9 & 10 district sides this season.
The signed agreement can be returned to South Canterbury Cricket as follows;
- In person to Mark Medlicott or Shane Gilkison
- By scanning the signed document and returning to the SC Cricket office email sccricket@xtra.co.nz
- By post to PO Box 335, Timaru 7940
