Chairman of South Canterbury Cricket, Andrew McRae has released the following statement.
David will be a huge loss as our Executive Officer. In his time with us he has secured the financial future of the Association, improved communication to stakeholders and brought real innovation to our competition structure. Those that have had day to day dealings with David are unanimous in their appreciation of his services. Thankfully he has indicated that he will remain committed to South Canterbury Cricket ensuring a smooth transition for his replacement and there remains a possibility of his involvement at Board level going forward. We wish him well in his new endeavour but know that he will not be lost to us.
In the meantime Mark Medlicott has taken on the mantle of acting Executive Officer and all general enquiries should be directed to him in the first instance. I must stress that it is business as usual. An advertisement for the position of Executive Officer will be posted on the South Canterbury Cricket Association website shortly as we advance our search for David’s replacement.”
