South Canterbury Cricket Green LogoPrimary Development (Yr 7)

South Canterbury won the toss and sent Dunedin Metro into bat.  South Canterbury bowling through out the Dunedin innings was very steady and economical with all bowlers doing their bit and Captain Hamish McLeod leading from the front.

Dunedin Metro finished with 132 for 5 after 40 overs.  South Canterbury got off to a cautious start but lost wickets through the middle stages.  When Harper McKerrow (20) and Dougal Gibson (18) were dismissed the innings was in the balance until Sam Morrison and Ben Johnson came together and saw South Catnerbury home with a good partnership.  Johnson (19) scored freely and Morrison played a very mature innings to finish on 14 not out.

Well done boys now bring on Christchurch Metro.
