While some areas in South Canterbury were damper than others, and the temperature had certainly dropped from Friday’s 27°C it was good to get Junior morning cricket under way and to see all the parents and supporters out watching.  The enthusiasm of the boys and girls certainly showed why we have to keep finding ways for these kids to play the game of cricket.

Unfortunately in most cases afternoon cricket matches had to be abandoned as the rain set in, although in Waimate (last to get the rain) it was looking like a result  with the minimum of 20 overs needing to be bowled to constitute a match nearly achieved at last report.
