John Bromley – NZC National Panel Umpire
Great news for local South Canterbury cricket umpire John Bromley who has just learned that he has been appointed to the NZ Cricket National Panel for the coming season. This puts John at the top level for NZ after previously being a member of the Reserve Panel for the last few seasons.
While this means we will probably see less of John at local club fixtures, it is great reward for an umpire who through the matches he has already done has shown good decision making and match management when he has had opportunities.
This may also give him more opportunities to possibly progress to International match fixtures so we wish him all the best for the 2017/18 season.
