sccricket-logo-grnUnfortunately due to a clash of timetables, the Otago Metropolitan A side is now unable to play in the annual Mark Parker Memorial match against South Canterbury scheduled for this Sunday November 9th.

As the game holds a lot of importance in both our calendars, Otago Cricket felt that by being unable to send a fully competitive team due to a clash with the opening round of their Senior Knockout competition and also their U19 Men having a representative match, they would prefer to postpone the match until a suitable date for both Districts.

It is expected that the match will most likely now take place in the New Year, but due to the World Cup and already tightened schedules as well as a paucity of available dates, the date and location of this postponed match is yet to be determined.

While South Canterbury Cricket is disappointed at this turn of events, we also wish to do the occasion justice and are working hard with Otago Cricket to find an agreeable solution.
