Tony Lewis - Joint CEO SCCA & SCRFU

Tony Lewis – Newly Apponted Joint CEO SCCA & SCRFU

Tony Lewis has been appointed as the new joint CEO of South Canterbury Cricket and the South Canterbury Rugby Football Union.

The new appointment has been decided after an exhausting but robust interview process and we believe this new position will enhance cricket (and rugby) in our region.

He is the executive officer for PaddleNSW, based in Sydney, but has previously had roles in both rugby as General Manager/CEO of the Randwick Rugby Football Club in Sydney and cricket managing the contracted players for New South Wales Cricket and Cricket Australia for seven years. Prior to that he had a successful teaching career in NZ before moving to Australia a decade ago.

Raised in Otago, Tony played rugby for Otago, NZ All Black 7’s in Hong Kong, NZ Colts, NZ Universities and Western Australia. He has also gained national and provincial athletic titles, as well as being experienced at coaching and mentoring at a  professional level in both rugby and cricket.

We expect Tony to take up his new position in 6-8 weeks, but in the meantime cricket business continues as normal, so please contact Mark or Gilky with any questions. Read newspaper article here

Please also put the AGM in your calendar. This will be held mid September, but the date is yet to be confirmed.
