The South Canterbury Year 6 team won the toss and chose to bat first against Christchurch Metro at CSG 2 in their final representative match of the 2012-13 season.
Captain Luka Foy was the only batsmen to handle the extra pace of the Metro bowlers as he batted right through the innings for a superb 63 not out which got South Canterbury through to 128.
The South Canterbury bowlers and fielders tried hard to defend their score but Metro got home 7 down with four overs to spare. It was an okay performance by South Canterbury but needed someone to stay in partnership with Luka Foy to have a better score to defend.
