Year 5 and 6 cricket team lose to coach Craig Cumming’s Otago Metro Team.

After losing the toss South Canterbury struggled against some very tight bowling on an artificial wicket in Dunedin on Sunday. Losing three early wickets put South sccricket-logo-grnCanterbury on the back foot. Some very resilient batting from Kaleb Small (20 n.o. retired) and Toby Scannell (46 runs) finally put a good partnership together for South Canterbury. Some handy contributions down the order saw South Canterbury 133 for 6 after their 35 overs.

South Canterbury bowling and fielding was average at best against a very good batting team only claiming three Otago wickets. The best bowler was Harper McKerrow with figures of 1 for 18 off 6 overs. Otago passed South Canterbury total with five overs to spare.
