Played at Pleasant Point Domain in very warm conditions. Mid Canterbury won the toss and batted.
South Canterbury produced an excellent bowling performance. In the field SC created some really good dismissals including a stumping and 2 great catches.
Mid Canterbury were bowled out for 124 with the only innings of substance being 52 from Scott Punsley.
The wickets were shared between the South Canterbury bowlers Mark Otley 2 for 16, Adam Hamel 2 for 20, William Blackstock 2 for 20 and James Copland 2 for 25 making it an excellent team bowling performance.
In reply, a great opening wicket partnership of 54 between Wyatt McAutrie (38) and Sean Wills (18) started South Canterburys run chase off well.
Burns Mills (17) and William Harvey (22no) continued the openers good work in a comfortable chase, meaning SC reached 125 for 6 with 7 overs to spare.
A good, solid, all round team effort.
