The South Canterbury Yr 5&6 Boys Representative team finished their week off with a resounding win over Buller after losing the toss and being asked to bat first with some rain hanging around. It came out fine after an hour and the boys excelled on their way to an impressive total of 236-9 off their 40 overs with captain Toby Clemett leading the way as he scored an unbeaten 58, while he had plenty of support from Fletcher Rhodes 38, Jordan Sew Hoy 28, Lucas Histen 23 and Eli Kerse 20 not out. In reply South Canterbury dismissed Buller for 51 with Fletcher Rhodes leading the bowler with 3-4 and Jordan Sew Hoy 2-1 and Kade Macmillan 2-5 were the best of the bowlers while Henry Scott, Nic Webb and Lucas Histen all took one each.
A good week for our youngest rep side who finished 6th on the table out of 10 teams but were within 3 points of 4th.
