South Canterbury YR 5&6 played North Otago at the Celtic Sports Ground this weekend where North Otago won the toss and decided to bowl.
Batting first South Canterbury made 127 all out.
Gabriel Evans top scored with 24 and Ted Grigg with 20 were the main run scorers and good running between the wickets from the lower order helped the score along too.
North Otago were in trouble from the start and at one stage were 24 for 6 but managed to get through to be all out for 76. Charlie Martin was again in the wickets taking 3 for 8 off 6 overs, Gabriel Evans took 2 for 8 off 6 and Ted Grigg 2 for 4 off 5.
South Canterbury’s next match is against Mid Canterbury this coming weekend.

North Otago: 76/10 off 36 overs
Result: South Canterbury win by 51 runs
